Project Description:
This project conserved approximately 235.7 acres of land including: approximately 30.6 acres of freshwater forested, scrub-shrub, emergent, and lacustrine wetlands; approximately 2,500 feet of frontage on unmapped perennial and intermittent streams; 3-4 vernal pools; approximately 22 acres of Inland Waterfowl and Wading Bird Habitat; and upland forest. A rare wetland plant (Smooth Winterberry) is known from the property. The site is part of a large Undeveloped Habitat Block identified by the Beginning With Habitat Program and is adjacent to conservation land owned by CRCT to the north. CRCT will retain and manage the property for its natural resource values and low-impact recreation.
